Boundary Line Agreement
Boundary Line Adjustment vs Boundary Line Agreement
The purpose of a Boundary Line Adjustment is to adjust the boundary lines between contiguous legal lots (not in a recorded subdivision) that do not result in any additional lots.
Boundary Line Adjustment process requires approval from the city or county.
Boundary line agreement or property line agreements are when, neighbors agree on a common boundary, because of possible gaps, overlaps or lack of evidence of surveys.
The permanent “agreed” upon boundary is surveyed a new plat and legal descriptions are created.
The plat is then recorded at the County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.
